The most rewarding aspect of being a Commercial and Agricultural Lender is the opportunity I have to learn about each individual, family, and business allowing me to work diligently to meet their needs and accomplish their goals. I enjoy working with First Farmers Bank & Trust colleagues, customers, and community members who share a similar goal in making a difference throughout our community, state, and nation.
Amie joined FFBT as a Commercial and Agricultural Lender after graduating with a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University. Although originally from a small, rural town in Northern California, Amie and her husband moved to Indiana to attend Purdue University and further their knowledge of commercial agriculture. In high school, Amie found a passion for agriculture by competing in FFA poultry judging events. She continued that passion into her college career by working at an educational poultry facility where she was introduced to commercial egg and broiler production as well as hatching, processing, and consumer preference research. Additionally, Amie found an eagerness to learn and assist different businesses and industries through her diverse work opportunities such as marketing at a vineyard and research with walnut and pecan producers.
Amie and her husband, Vince, currently live in Kokomo, Indiana. Though California born and raised, Amie and Vince bleed Black and Gold and love to attend Purdue sporting events. She recently became involved in Howard County Farm Bureau and volunteers as a mentor through the YMCA’s Reach and Rise program.
